{"id":3561,"date":"2013-11-25T03:10:35","date_gmt":"2013-11-25T03:10:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iandg.com.au\/?p=3561"},"modified":"2014-02-24T05:51:59","modified_gmt":"2014-02-24T05:51:59","slug":"noongar-radio-6nme-win-excellence-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iandg.com.au\/index.php\/noongar-radio-6nme-win-excellence-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Noongar Radio 6NME Win Excellence Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to Noongar Radio, 6NME on winning Community Broadcasting\u2019s Excellence In Spoke Word Award for 2013.\u2028I&amp;G were thrilled to be there when Carol Dowling, Producer of the award-winning series stepped up to collect the prize at the Menzies Hotel in Sydney last Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>Carol\u2019s series, produced for Noongar Radio, and funded by the Department\u00a0 of Health and Ageing, consisted of a 30-part series on the serious subject of ear disease.\u00a0 Preventable ear disease is the leading cause of hearing loss among Aboriginal Australians and is a contributing factor in ongoing Indigenous disadvantage.<\/p>\n<p>In the course of producing the series, Carol interviewed 30 different people to gain a multitude of perspectives.
